Are you ready for another Die Hard movie? How about that rumoured Fantastic Four reboot?
Well prepare yourself for Die Hard 24/7 and Fantastic Four Reborn! Filmonic shares:
They aren’t the best of titles, but they get the message across, especially with the Fantastic Four reboot. With words like ‘reborn’ and ‘begins’ you know you’ve got a reboot on your hands.
Following the light and campy films Fox are aiming for a more dark and serious version of Fantastic Four, although it will be more Iron Man than The Dark Knight.
When they released Live Free or Die Hard, I really wished they had kept the computer themed working title of Die Hard 4.0 considering the context and themes of the film. And now instead of Die Harderest, we get Die Hard 24/7 which is fitting for John McClane’s turbulent life and pattern for getting involved in thwarting these schemes. I will always want to see another Die Hard.
As for Fantastic Four. Yeah, they want to reboot it so they are going to announce it in the title. Begins is taken, so is Origins. They are apparently going with Reborn.
The title is reminiscent of the comics Heroes Reborn story, but I doubt they will have the child of Sue and Reed using his reality shaping powers to reinvent the world as the plothook for the reboot.
I do however look forward to a Fantastic Four movie with a more convincing blonde as Sue Storm (the others all were excellent fits – too bad the movies weren’t), I just hope they gloss over the origin story.
