Claire Danes to Star in The Flock

CDanes.jpgClaire Danes is posed to play along side Richard Gere in The Flock. The Movie Blog covered the signing of Gere to the project and we can thank the sources of The Hollywood Reporter for this news. As stated before The Flock is about a vigilant FBI agent training his replacement (Danes), during which they search for a missing girl possibly connected to a sex offender investigation Gere’s character had worked on.

“Claire Danes brings a sensitivity and power to the role of a young agent being mentored by Richard Gere’s character,” Martinez said. “This is a key role in the film, and Andrew, Richard and I are thrilled to have an actress of Claire’s talent playing the part.”

Claire Danes is very talented, I was first drawn to her after her performance in Romeo + Juliet -I’m a sucker for Shakespeare-, so I strongly feel that she will be able to bring something special to the picture. On the other hand, Gere can have chemistry issues with younger leading ladies; I refer you to the painful Autumn in New York with Winona Ryder. It is a bit premature to be tossing out criticism but that is what we are here for. If you disagree, let me know.
