Not only am I a “Movie Dork”, but I’m also a “Computer Dork” -which makes it difficult picking up women at times- and I wanted to bring Google’s movie tag to your attention. This may be old hat for some of you but it’s still a fairly new feature to the Google search and I find it very useful.
When doing a Google search on a movie title, place the following tag before it (movie:). For example, if you want to read the reviews for Superman, then you would type in (movie: Superman). This will return all of the reviews for Superman collected by the Google index, the star rating and a total average rating bases on the results.
Google movies can also search for show times within your area and list the theater locations the movie is showing in. By adding your zip code, Google will search all of the available show times and list them in the results. Type in (movies: Transporter 2 14221). Try it out; I’ve grown to love it and it’s much faster than searching for reviews on individual sites and using Fandango to find out show times.
