Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2 was Gay

The Documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy that explores how they unintentionally made Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge into a film with gay subtext.

Its funny, because when I saw that film, I didn’t think of it as gay, and clearly while making it most people involved didn’t think it was all that gay. But looking back… wow. That’s some pretty heavy homo eroticism going on there!

Not that I see anything wrong with it, just amazed how not-so-subtly it ended up in there and how you cannot deny it looking back. I don’t recall anyone making a stink about this before.

Did you think Nightmare on Elm Street was a “gay film”?
… and no. The childish insecure use of gay as a derogatory term is not what I am talking about.
