The Batmobile was spotted on the set of a film, but two things are odd about it.
Its the Batmobile from Batman Forever, and its on the set of the Remake of the 1981 film Arthur.
The Batmobile has been spotted. That fact alone should make headlines.
But what makes the matter even more interesting is the fact that the iconic car turned up on the set of the upcoming Arthur remake, starring Russel Brand. This could mean one of two things. Either the vehicle (which appears to be the model from Batman Forever) is one of several classic cars belonging to the titular character, or Batman himself dropped by the set because he’s a huge fan of the Arthur franchise. Only time will tell.
Brand will be playing Arthur, an alcoholic eccentric millionaire with no ambition who finds out he will not inherit his family fortune if he doesn’t marry a specific girl that the family feels will make something out of Arthur.
Arthur, resigned to his fate suddenly meets a poor girl who he falls for.
I could see Russell Brand in this role. He already plays drunk and eccentric very well, and that this scene implies he might be crazy enough to be driving around in a movie collectable vehicle just adds to the character.
I am looking forward to seeing his take in this remake.
