Edgar Wright directing Them

EdgarWright.jpgThe writer and director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Edgar Wright, is set to direct another comedy written by Mike White and starring the other half of that duo, Jack Black (love his motivational tapes). From Coming Soon:

Variety reports that Universal Pictures has acquired rights to the Jon Ronson book Them…Jack Black and White will produce under their Universal-based Black and White banner along with Wright and Nira Park.

The book, an exploration of extremists, is described as a conspiracy comedy about one woman’s journey to unmask the secret rulers of the world.

Sounds like one hell of a comedy. I’m looking forward to this, although I don’t know how Wright and White will work together, I’d have like to have seen Wright write and direct again…after that sentance I’m confused!

Good news? Interesting story? Should Wright be doing the directing and writing together as he did for Shaun, or is he being wise by going to other projects with other writers?
