Best remembered for his role in one of TV’s most popular series ever (Friends), David Schwimmer, is back at it as a director. His previous directorial effort was the comedy, Run, Fat Boy, Run (2007). This time around he’s getting help from excellent actors, Clive Owen and Catherine Keener. Schwimmer’s thriller tells the story of a married couple (Keener and Owen) that seem to have a safe family environment, until their daughter falls prey to an internet predator who disguises himself as a teenage boy. After the daughter has a dangerous altercation with the predator, her father searches the country in order to track the perv down and exact his revenge.
This looks to be a good revenge thriller. Owen is always good in these kinds of roles; and having Keener helping out, is always welcomed. I’m rooting for Schwimmer in this one. He’s got some skills as a director; he just needs to find his way. I believe this will be step in the right direction; it will get him some recognition. I’ll definitely look out for this one, and watch it.
Do you guys like these kinds of movies? Do you think Schwimmer has what it takes to be a successful director?
