David Fincher has been looking for his lead star for his remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and while many names have been thrown around, it looks like Scarlett Johansson is leading the rumour race for the role.
Although the “Fight Club” director reportedly was looking for an unknown for the role of hard-boiled, bisexual Lisbeth Salander in his adaptation of the late Stieg Larsson’s smash novel, a source close to the situation tells us not to rule out Scar-Jo.
Last Tuesday, our source says Johansson auditioned for Fincher in Los Angeles and the director and his team were “very impressed” with the bodacious babe.
Now I haven’t seen the original, but a badass bisexual female lead played by Scarlett Johansson?
That’s marketing gold right there.
I have been meaning to get around to seeing the original before the Fincher remake comes out, but it looks like I will have some time to do it.
They don’t appear to be in that big of a rush.
So for those of you who have seen the original, would Scarlett be a good Salander?
