Robert Schwentke to Direct RIPD

Looks like Ryan Reynolds other other film RIPD has signed itself a director, and it just makes me even more excited for the project. Robert Schwentke has put pen to paper securing him for the film.

Worst Previews shares:

Universal Pictures has hired Robert Schwentke (Red, Time Traveler’s Wife, Flightplan) to direct the supernatural action film “RIPD,” based on a comic book about a police department of the dead.

Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern) signed last spring to star in “RIPD,” centered on two officers — one recently dead (who would do anything to get back to his wife) and a gunslinger who’s been dead for hundreds of years.

This does sound like a great concept for a movie and I can’t wait to see it come to life.

And from what I have seen of RED, Robert Schwentke looks like a good fit as I am anxiously anticipating that film because of its style and wit.
