Rocky 6 plot going crazy?

Rocky.jpgThe idea of Rocky coming back was actually quite appealling to me, much as it is with Rambo. There’s a certain level of desire to see Stallone back on screen after his performance in the boxing reality show, The Contender, and I’ve always thought he’s a very good actor hidden behind these two roles. Perhaps a reprisal could bring about a more actor-friendly type movie?

Well not from all the words we’re hearing about the plot, and here’s the latest from Cinematical , Drago is back, he’s a friend of Balboa and he’s got AIDS!

UK site Contact Music today dropped the stunning news that the great Dolph Lundgren will be reprising his role as Rocky’s commie arch-enemy, Ivan Drago. Sadly, he will not be starring in his own film. Instead, according to unspecified internet rumors, Drago will make an appearance in the widely-dreaded Rocky Balboa (aka Rocky 23). And if that wasn’t weird enough, Contact Music insists that the reunion between the fighters will take place not in the ring, but in a hospital ward where Drago is dying of AIDS. Seriously. And Rocky goes to visit him

That’s total pants. Totally. Okay first thing to realise is that this is big rumour territory, but the fact that it’s even out there is worrying. So US and USSR are friends now, but the USSR is slowly dying? Is this an attempt at representing the real world through the story of the movie, much like Undiscovered Country did with the Klingons? Oh I don’t even want to think about it, just hope it’s not true.
