Because hitting the iron while it is hot is a wise marketing move, director James Merendino has decided a few genres all need to be hit at the same time. So while Vampires are still a hot commodity and they haven’t finished with teen musical competitions, we are getting Vampire Summer Camp.
In what seems like an aim to capitalize on the popularity of vampires and Fox’s musical series “Glee,” the film follows two summer camps and the musical competition they embark upon. But one camp is populated with youthful-looking, but centuries old vampires, so hopefully the competition won’t be held during the day
Now with shows like Glee being such a big hit, I don’t blame him, but it seems like everyone is trying to put vampires in everything.
The problem is that Vampires themselves are not the problem. The mass variations on the mythical creatures can result in some good stories, but flooding the market making every mention of Vampires a bad word.
And I doubt Band Camp meets Twilight will help.
