Weekend Boxoffice Report Oct 8th-10th 2010

This last weekend went out with a wimper and for another weekend The Social Network stays on top, but not without some effort on the rom com Life as we Know It.

I guess Facebook trumps Babypoop.

Box Office Mojo reports the estimates:

The Social Network – $15,500,000 – 2wks
Life as We Know It – $14,635,000 – Opening
Secretariat – $12,600,000 – Opening
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole – $7,015,000 – 3wks
My Soul to Take – $6,919,000 – Opening

With October being popular for horror movies, I would have thought My Soul to Take would have ranked a little higher.

And is it just me, or is it the time of year? $15million takes the top spot? A year ago Couples Retreat was released on this weekend and crushed $34m with Zombieland slipping to the second spot with $14m.

What did you see this weekend?
