I thought White Noise was a pretty decent movie. Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination, but it was nice to see Michael Keaton is that kind of a role. It didn’t make a ton of money (about $91 million worldwide) but it was more than enough to make a profit. And where there’s profit… there are usually sequels.
News is bouncing around the internet today about White Noise 2 being given the green light. The good folks over at Cinema Confidential give us the following little synopsis of the project:
A man’s family is murdered and he is brought back from the brink of death. The man realizes he has changed and can now identify those among the living who are about to die. When he tries to save people from their fate, he discovers there is a price to paid for interfering with the natural order of life and death.
Not horribly original… but sounds interesting. No word on if Keaton will make an appearance or not.
