I don’t know if there;s much left to find out about Superman Returns, okay I’m kidding there’s loads, but there’s just so much Internet hype about it. Then here’s Bryan Singer talking about some of the finer details of the movie.
Over at Dark Horizons they have some comments from a talk at Princeton. To be honest there’s not much. Be careful though, there is one huge spoiler I’ve avoided posting. Aside from that there’s a line about Superman returning to a cynical world, and about why Kent is geeky, all not that exciting. However there are two interesting comments.
Batman will be in the movie and the opening score is the original John Williams score.
Ah, I bet you were cursing with a big spoiler hiss there. Turns out that it’s going to be nothing more than a vague reference in a background photo, but nice still the same. There are some rumours dispelled though.
Singer once apparently mulled over how to do a crossover film. “I thought about it. What would I do? Superman’s the good guy, so that makes Batman the bad guy but Batman can’t be too bad because he’s Batman! No, I haven’t thought too much about this…this is the first time in probably five years it’s even crossed my mind!”
It pretty much shows that there isn’t a chance of a crossover, but if they would just read that Dark Knight Returns novel…He also laughed at the rumour that there was a clause in Rouths contract for a crossover. Shame though, maybe one day.
