Saw Producer Gregg Hoffman Dies

Gregg Hoffman, producer of Saw and Saw 2 has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 42. No cause of death has been reported other than it was of “natural causes”.

Hoffman was involved with more than just Saw. The following glimpse of his career is from the good folks over at M&C:

At Disney, Hoffman helped develop children`s films including ‘Inspector Gadget,’ ‘101 Dalmatians’ and ‘The Parent Trap.’ He became a senior vice president of production and produced ‘George of the Jungle.’

He left in January 2003 to join his friends at Evolution Entertainment and almost immediately began developing ‘Saw.’ The trio gathered $1 million to finance the film and formed Twisted Pictures. At the time of his death, Hoffman was putting together ‘Saw III’ and ‘Crawlspace.’

We here at The Movie Blog extend our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Mr. Hoffman. A talented man gone far too soon.
