Robert Downey Jr has played many iconic characters in the past, and now the actor will add one more: Mr. Peabody.
Worst Previews gives us :
Downey Jr (Iron Man) has signed on to voice Mr. Peabody, who travels through time to discover improbably things about history’s greatest figures. A script has already been written by Jeffrey Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin (Yogi Bear), who revealed that the movie will focus not only on the time-traveling, but also on the origins of the characters.
That alone might be cause for alarm, as I started to think of Sherman and Mr. Peabody in CGI 3D walking around. But my fears were eased, as the director is Rob Minkoff, who directed The Lion King. Still, I would turn out anyway just to see an animated update on The Wayback Machine. Might be fun.
But I also thought that two films of last year – Marmaduke and Yogi Bear- and “fun” turned out to be pain and pitchforks Literally, time will tell. I’m crossing my fingers.
