George Lucas Believes 2012 is the End

Comedic actor Seth Rogan had a recent encounter with Star Wars creator George Lucas, where he learned Lucas believes the world will end in 2012. Apparently, Lucas spent about 25 minutes discussing tectonic plates and apocalyptic events while fellow meeting attendee Steven Spielberg playfully rolled his eyes at his friend.

The Toronto Sun quoted Rogan saying:

“I first thought he (Lucas) was joking… and then I totally realized he was serious and then I started thinking, ’If you’re George Lucas and you actually think the world is gonna end in a year, there’s no way you haven’t built a spaceship for yourself… So I asked him… ’Can I have a seat on it?’

This just makes me smile. What a fantastic anecdote about an icon of film!
