Gillian Anderson is saying a new X-Files movie is looking very likely.
The story is all over the NettyWeb at the moment, I caught it at Moviehole:
“David [Duchovny] and I and (creator) Chris Carter are determined to do it,” Anderson said.
But due to certain rights issues, “it’s become a bit messy. I think the intention is that we will and we hope to – and that, hopefully, by the time we actually do, whenever that is, people will still give a damn.”
Would you be looking forward to a new X-Files movie? I would be if either one of these conditions are met:
- The movie is the final one and ties the X-Files stories together with a completely closed ending explaining all
- The movie leads onto a another, or a series of movies, which explains all and closes the stories off forever explaing all
That’s the only way I could see it. You?
