Darren Aronofsky Leaves The Wolverine

Get ready for highly disappointing news for those of us who were anticipating Darren’s approach to the X-Men character. Today we learn that Mr. Aronofsky has decided, and announced, that he will not direct ‘the Wolverine’ movie.

This falls right in line with many of life’s disappointing moments, like finding out your high school prom date has cramps. Darren Aronofsky’s name being associated with the Wolverine movie has long been a comforting, and re-assuring, name for fans of the character as we looked forward to his approach to the ‘ol canuckle head and his acclaimed adventures in Japan. I’m flabbergasted by the news, but I have to respect his reasons for not participating as director.

International friends: if not Aronofsky then who?
