Jean Reno is someone I haven’t seen in the spotlight in quite a while. Kinda miss his presence in good psychological thrillers as he’s pretty reliable for home run performances. Today we find out that he will be making an appearance in the upcoming “I, Alex Cross” also starring Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox.

Thesp Jean Reno is moving from one bestseller to another, as the “Da Vinci Code” star has signed on to join the cast of Summit Entertainment’s thriller “I, Alex Cross.”
As Variety first reported, Tyler Perry is set to play the title role in the James Patterson adaptation, which Rob Cohen is directing from a script by Kerry Williamson and Marc Moss.
Story finds Perry partnering with Ed Burns to take on a vicious serial killer played by Matthew Fox, his first role since ABC’s “Lost” went off the air. Reno’s character is being kept under wraps.
I’m not thrilled that Idris Elba dropped out of this movie and the title role was picked up by Tyler Perry, but Jean Reno is giving this movie a little bit more appeal to watch. It’ll be interesting to see Matthew Fox in this movie as a bad guy as it’ll take some sinister wrong doings to wash away the wholesome Jack Shephard image. So far Reno is the biggest appeal, in my opinion, to this movie but I hope to pleasantly surprised when more news becomes available.
