LaBouf Says Indiana Jones 5 Is Going To Happen

Overall the 2009 sequel Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull was a good ride for Shia LaBouf. So much so is that he’s eager to reprise his role from the series. That might be sooner than the rest of us think.
From the good people over at Cinemablend:

This past weekend MTV spoke with Shia LaBeouf, who played Indy’s son, Mutt, in Crystal Skull who said that Indiana Jones 5 is “not so far off.” The actor said that he recently spoke to star Harrison Ford, who has apparently been hitting the gym and knows that George Lucas is “out there looking for a MacGuffin.”

While I was slightly disappointed by Crystal Skull, I found that most of the criticisms labeled on it were a bit odd. When folks bitched about Indiana escaping a nuke via freezer, I thought, I don’t like it much either but this IS a fella who has gotten out many a tight spot in past films and Lucas and Spielberg simply homage the serials as we all know (but some had forgot). That said, Crystal Skull had a rocky road of development time, and even put Frank Darabont through hell and back. I wouldn’t mind a fifth film- but I have to call it like I see it.

I would not mind a fifth Indy flick. But in my view, with Indy getting back with Marion, tipping the hat to characters written off or actors passed on, everything has come full circle. As for LaBouf’s fingers being crossed, I take it as nothing more than wishful thinking.

What do the int’l friends think? Is it wise to let sleeping dogs lie, or should Indy and the family go for another adventure?
