Joe Dirt 2

Joe Dirt 2Oh my sweet heavens. Please tell me this is just a bad joke. It looks like David Spade is returning to the role that made him… ummm… stupid. Joe Dirt 2 is in pre-production and scheduled to start filming this summer.

I was a big David Spade fan. I loved him in all of his supporting roles (usually to Chris Farley) and I was even a fan of his show “Just Shoot Me”. But then, some evil person convinced Spade that he was a big comedy name and that he could do no wrong. Along came the first Joe Dirt… and Spade hasn’t been funny ever since. It actually broke my heart to see how bad Spade has become when watching the horrible Benchwarmers.

Lexi over at Cinema Blend gave this great quote that I just had to share with you:

After scoring a 9% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, something tells me the sequel will be added to the ever-expanding list of films not screened for the press.

Yeah no kidding. But seriously… would anyone actually pay money to go see this abomination?
