Wesley Snipes In Gallowwalker

I guess Wesley Snipes can’t get enough of that old supernatural beastie monster hunting. Nope, we’re not talking about Blade 4, we’re talking about Gallowwalker. WHat is Gallowwalker? The good folks over at Comingsoon give us this:

Snipes will play mysterious gunman Kaos, the son of a nun who breaks her covenant with God to ensure his survival. This act brings a curse upon Kaos – all those that die by his gun will return. Hunted by a gang of his undead former victims, led by the vicious Kansa, Kaos enlists Fabulos, a new young warrior to fight by his side.

Ok, the first thing I’ll say is that I like the sounds of the project. There is always fun potential when you take some mythology, mix in some undead with a generous helping of action. So add me to the “People looking forward to it” list. HOWEVER…

While I don’t mind Snipes at all… is he really the right casting for this? Isn’t there a danger of people looking at this and just thinking “Blade 4” as I mentioned above? I enjoy Snipes in cheesy action flicks, but I think this one sounds a little too much like his other project franchise. Yes yes, I know it’s not vampires this time… but it’s still him fighting the undead (just a different category of them). Meh, we’ll see. I hope it kicks ass.
