Ralphe Waite in ‘Ace Ventura 3’

ralph-waite.jpgVeteran actor Ralph Waite (best known for ‘The Waltons’) has joined the cast of the Ace Ventura sequel (that’s destined to be direct to DVD) as “Grandpa.” (Oh dear)

MovieHole gives us this:

Directed by David Mickey Evans (“The Sandlot”, “The Final Season”) the new film sees Ace Ventura’s son (Josh Flitter) step up to the plate when his mother is wrongly arrested for stealing a baby Panda.

Does anybody know what ‘Dumb & Dumberer,’ ‘Son of the Mask,’ and ‘Evan Almighty’ have in common? They’re all prequels or sequels to Jim Carrey movies that SUCK! Honestly, without the presence of Jim Carrey in the follow ups to movies he made famous, you’re asking for disaster. Also, make another sequel to the ‘Ace Ventura’ series anyways? The last one was probably my least favorite Jim Carrey film. Why make another one?

Are you guys going looking forward to another Jim Carrey-less sequel?
