Steven Spielberg’s biopic has just found its ‘Mary Todd.’ According to Newsweek, Oscar Winner Sally Field is set to play the wife of the famous President.
Movieweb gives us this:
Steven Spielberg has found a Mary Todd for his upcoming biopic Abraham Lincoln. According to Newsweek, Sally Field will play the wife of our 16th U.S. President.
Liam Neeson is set to star as Lincoln in this upcoming film. The movie will be based on the biography Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, which was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin.
I think it’s a very good casting choice, but please for the love of GOD, I hope this woman does not win another award. After her weird acceptance speech at this year’s Emmys, and of course her infamous “You really like me!” speech years ago, I don’t think I could witness yet another embarrassing acceptance speech from Ms. Sally Field. So I’m hoping she does a serviceable job….not an amazing one. :P
