Who knew Jason Bateman’s career would once again flourish after years of being known as 80’s teen heartthrob hasbeen for years? (Thank god for ‘Arrested Development’) The talented and now not underrated actor has joined an A-list cast and is starring alongside Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in the upcoming film adaptation to a British miniseries, State of Play.
ComingSoon reports:
The drama centers on a newspaper’s investigation of the murder of a girlfriend of a fast-rising congressman, played by Norton. Pitt plays the former campaign manager of the politician who spearheads the paper’s investigation, and Bateman will play one of the key reporters chasing the story.
Wow, it sounds like Bateman’s role seems like it’s going to be the most interesting role in this movie. I’m glad this man is finally getting the attention he deserves for he’s proving he can still be a “scene-stealer” even in dramatic roles. That’s my take on it. What do you guys think of Bateman’s rising staying power?
