I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry Reviews

Chuck-LarryI’ve been getting a little tired of Adam Sandler in the last 2 or 3 years. His humor has worn a little thin on me and his schtick has lost its novelty. What really adds to that is the fact that Sandler can actually ACT (Holy crap was he ever good in “Reign Over Me” this year). And seeing him in those types of movies only reinforces my opinion that Sandler should more more and more away from comedy for a while.

Anyway, then along came the “I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry” trailers… and you know what? I thought they looked hilarious. Suddenly I was interested in seeing a Sandler comedy again. So what do the reviewers say? YIKES!!!! As of right now I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry is holding a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. Here is what some of the critics are saying in their I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry reviews:

“The film is pro-gay but it’s less interested in collapsing straight-male hang-ups about gay men than is in putting on a surprisingly mawkish show of political correctness.”

Ed Gonzalez – Slant Magazine

“I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry isn’t just unfunny; it’s racist, sexist and homophobic — and truly unpleasant to watch. … I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry practices exactly the kind of intolerance it preaches against.”

James Rocchi – CBS

“It might seem offensive if it weren’t so lame.”

Christy Lemire – Associated Press

Man that’s too bad. But lets be honest here… I was committed to seeing this movie opening day regardless of what the reviews were like the moment I saw Jessica Biel in those tight leather cat outfit pants. MMEEEOOOWWWWW. I’m going to give the movie an 8/10 just for that alone.
