Most of the readers of this site seem to be happy with how Transformers turned out. People want to talk about it, ask qustions about it and trade opinions about the film. I enjoyed Transformers but think it could of been far better. My question to my international friends is this – If you could change one thing about the movie; what would it be?
As far as I am concerned the most annoying part of this film was the rampage robot. He looked stupid, he acted stupid and he got more screentime than any other robot (or so it seemed). If I had to change one thing about this film I would rplace that character with the almighty Laserbeak.
Laserbeak is the best recon robot the Decepticons have. The Transformers animated movie begins with Laserbeak hard at work spying on the Autobots. In this film Laserbeak would of been a much better espianoge charachter and would of been a delightful tie in to the second film when he transforms to fit inside Soundwave upon his arrival.
I seriously do not know how Rampage made it into the film, how someone did not stand up and say “that robot sucks” is beyond me. I certainly had more problems with the film, but if I could only change one thing – it would be the swap betwen the two bots.
Long live Laserbeak, all hail Megatron!
