Take a look at that picture above. Take a really good look at it. Think what you will of the recent Star Wars movies… or what you will about The Terminal. That picture holds more pure creative talent than can be held by most countries. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg on set for the first day of the shooting of Indiana Jones 4 (It’s all a rouse… we know this film still isn’t actually going to happen).
George Lucas is probably the single most creative mind in Hollywood. He has created some of the best stories, films, characters… but more than that he’s pushed through some of the best advancements in film over the last 20 years and he still pushing all the status quos. Steven Spielberg is hands down (in my opinion anyway) the best pure storyteller in the business and the very best director in movies today. Some people think i just say that because he’s done big blockbuster type films… but in reality, when you look at his body of work, no one… and I mean NO ONE is better. He is simply the best and the standard by which all others should be measured.
