Dunst To Play Debbie Harry

dharry.jpgKristin has her eye on a biopic of one of her heroes, we get the news from the fabulous friends at filmwad:

According to MTV’s new Movie Blog, Kirsten Dunst’s dream project is a biopic of Blondie singer Debbie Harry and apparently the film is in development.

I hope this is good news for fans of Blondie and/or Kristen Dunst. Personally I would rather see a biopic about Hitler played by O.J. Simpson. I actually don’t think Dunst is a bad cast for the role of Debby Harry, and perhaps her enthusiasm for the character will result in a top notch performance.

I enjoy biographies and biopics, when they are done well I find them fascinating. When they fail to deliver they are dreadfully boring, dark water boring. The good thing about doing a movie on Harry is that she can dish dirt till the screenplay is full of spice. If she was dead, the saucy stuff may never be known.
