We get news today about the female lead casting in the upcoming Rambo project. Variety gives us the news:
Julie Benz (“Dexter”) has booked the female lead in Sylvester Stallone’s “John Rambo,” currently lensing in Thailand for Millennium Films/Nu Image. Benz’s credits include “Jawbreaker” and “The Brothers.”
Julie has done alot of TV work and some small parts in film. This is a massive break for her and it is cool to see someone that has been slugging away in the industry for so long get a massive break. Hopefully she will knock this role out of the park and start to grab more film work.
With 20 episodes on Angel and 6 on Buffy I am guessing these are the projects that people may know her from the most. I hardly watch TV, but I know people were rabid about these shows. For those of you that were fans of the show do you remember Julie Benz, and are you excited to see her in the new Rambo project alongside Sly?
