One of my favourite video game series has always been the Prince of Persia. We got a peek at some of the artwork that has come out for promoting it.
Prince of Persia is a long standing franchise that could translate well to a movie franchise. The First concept art for the brand new Prince of Persia movie in the works at Disney has gone online.
I like the title image, and I just love the style of things. Right out of the game (which is easy because it is styled right out of Persian history)
I enjoyed Prince of Persia Sands of Time because of its “time stop” mechanic. Your character didnt have “lives” in the game. You collected sands of time from defeated enemies which gave you the ability to step back and redo failed attempts at acrobatic leaps or combat.
The action in the game is amazing, and if translated well it will make for a VERY entertaining movie. However, all those cool things aside, it was the STORY of the game that I think will make it a good adaptation. I hope this story isnt lost in all the potential eyecandy and amazing action.
