Horrible catastrophic lame and troublesome rumours regarding the next Superman project. The word on the street; true or false is that Orlando Bloom may join the cast. We get the story from Filmick:
According to Just Jared, Orlando Bloom met with Jon and Mindy Peters and Brian Singer to discuss a role in the next Superman film. That’s really all there is to the story, but Bloom was apparently eyeballed and… well… he fits. He definitely fits.
Lots of observers spotted a pattern in the Superman Returns casting. Bloom fits that pattern.
I hope this is false, after Lord Of The Rings Bloom has been a curse on almost all the films he has been in. Other than Rings, I am having a hard time thinking of another film where I thought he was a good fit at all. After putting out a Superman film with no action, and getting a “meh” reaction from most – this better not be the trump card that they concocted to ramp up the series. Routh has a legendary package – I hope they follow his example and put more cock and balls into the next film. That is what we need – more Routh, less Bloom.
