Paul Schulze Joins Rambo 4

Paul-SchulzeYou can be forgiven is you don’t recognize the name “Paul Schulze” off the top of your head. He’s mostly been a TV character actor up to this point… but if you watch 24… you’ll know him.

Paul played Ryan Chappelle on 24. You remember him… the kind if slimy, yet loves his country director of CTU for a while… and he didn’t get along well with Jack… but they did work together and always for basically the same goals. Paul had one of the most emotionally and nerve wrecking couple of episodes I’ve seen on TV. In a nutshell, a terrorist says he’ll kill thousands of people unless Jack kills Ryan… and Ryan agrees to it.

It was one of those things no other show would do… I never thought they’d do it. But sure enough, Ryan let’s Jack kill him to save other people. It was so intense… and even when Jack pulled the trigger I was 100% sure the camera would pull back to show Jack just shot the ground. But nope… he put a cap in that guys noggin. It’s stuff like that that just keeps you on the edge of your seat with 24… because you NEVER know what they’re going to do. But I digress…

According to our friends over at Moviehole, Paul Schulze has himself a role in the new Rambo film:

Anyway, seems the man behind the suit, Paul Schulze, is becoming quite the movie star. He’s currently appearing in Paramount’s “Zodiac” and next up, joins Sylvester Stallone for “Rambo IV” (or whatever the hell they end up calling it; it changes every month). The next chapter finds Rambo recruited by a group of Christian human rights missionaries to protect them against pirates.

This is one of those guys I like to cheer for. He’s loaded with REAL acting talent, but doesn’t have the “Hollywood Look”. I hope for good things with Paul.
