I loved Zoolander. It’s one of those silly comedies that you either laughed your ass off (I fall into this category) or you just hate. I lost count of how many days in a row I watched that flick when I first bought the DVD. The whole thing is pure comic genius. Do lines in movies get any better than: “The died in a freak gasoline fight accident”. Pure gold.
Creative or not, I’d love to see another visit to that clever even if stupid world of Zoolander. Well, according to The USA Today, Ben Stiller is thinking of making this his next project:
After the Farrelly brothers’ film, he’s exploring a sequel to Zoolander, his takeoff on the modeling industry
I’d love to see this happen, even though I’m not really sure it will actually come to fruition. The one thing that leads me to believe that this will happen is that Zoolander has been a huge success on DVD, and did pretty good in theaters considering it opened the weekend after 9/11… and if Night at the Museum is as big of a flop as many think it will be, Stiller may just be looking for a cash cow… enter Zoolander 2. As in all things predictive… we’ll just have to wait and see.
