The best kind of move remakes in my opinion are the ones that have good story lines, were not huge blockbusters the first time around and of course….have sorority girls getting murdered at Christmas time.
So just in time for the holidays comes Black Christmas. It fulfills two out of three of my needs, the storyline is the only thing that is suspect here. Does it look cliché? Yes. It has the paint by numbers look down pat with the standard frightened, hard bodied girl staring at a phone like it’s a high carb meal, aand as an added bonus we get the full back story right in the trailer.
However as much as I hate to admit it this also looks like the kind of flick I’ll see, on a whim, on a cheap movie night, with a bunch of friends screaming and spilling popcorn the whole time. And I’ll probably enjoy it
