There is talk around Hollywood these days that Old School is going to have a sequel. Old School was a very successful, funny, all around good time movie so this isn’t surprising. The people over at cinemafusion.com give us this:
Writer/director Todd Phillips said Old School Dos, is still in the scripting process, and that none of the actors from the first film are signed on yet. He plans on showing them a great script that would ultimately bring them back.
He didn’t reveal much in terms of the plot, but he did say that we “will learn a bit more about Ferrell’s character especially why his wife was so concerned that his alter ego Frank the Tank, never see the light of day again.”
Hey, this could be cool! True, at this point with no script finished and no one signed on it’s a long way from being in the theaters but Todd Phillips is great at what he does and if he’s writing and directing again for this second one it has great potential.
I would be up for another taste of Old School. Especially if the original cast was coming back. But even if they repaced everyone and just had Will Ferell back I would see it. What about the readers out there, what do you guys think?
