Mortal Kombat Prequel

Mortal-Kombat-PrequelIn the world of pure cheesy fun, it’s hard to top the first Mortal Kombat movie for me. It was like a train wreck that you just couldn’t look away from. I had fun with it. As a bit of trivia, Johnny Cage was played by Linden Ashby, who will next be appearing in Rambo IV, and Sonya Blade was played by Bridgette Wilson, who besides being crazy hot, is also Mrs. Pete Sampras (one of the greatest tennis players of all time).

Mortal Kombat 2 was just painful to watch. Nothing redeeming about it whatsoever and has shame of being #98 on the Internet Movie Data Base’s “Bottom 100” films.

So imagine my surprise when I heard whispers a while ago that someone is actually thinking about doing another Mortal Kombat movie. But this tilme it’ll be a prequel. Yeah, that’s a great idea. Another movie that no body wants based on a game that isn’t even popular anymore… and it’s a prequel. No thanks.

The only prequel I’m interested in seeing is The Hobbit… and that isn’t happening anytime soon. (via)
