Dominic Purcell The New Incredible Hulk

Dominic-Purcell-HulkDominic Purcell of Prison Break fame (and Blade 3 infamy… where he played Dracula in one of the worst films I’ve ever seen) is apparently set to take over the role of Bruce Baner in “The Incredible Hulk” movie that Marvel is currently working on.

The good folks over at movieweb give us the following:

In a recent interview with Dominic Purcell at the legendary New York City Radio Station WPLJ, the Prison Break star was asked by radio hosts Scott Shannon & Todd Pettengill whether there was any truth to the rumor that he would be taking over the role of The Incredible Hulk from actor Eric Bana. This is what Purcell had to say…

“Uhmmmm…, I don’t know man, who knows?” After a little more prodding by the hosts the most he would offer was, “It could be, yeah.”

I’ve gotta tell ya, I think this is a magnificent choice (if it is indeed 100% true). While Purcell is not in Banna’s league and an actor, he is still solid and has a strong screen presence. He would be a very different Bruce Baner than Eric Banna was… but I think that’s exactly what they’re going for right now. Good call. Your thoughts?
