Directed by Aronofsky – Written by Blue’s Clues Guy? Now That Would Be Fun!

I was all ready to write an article about how one of the writers of the children’s TV program “Blue’s Clues” was hired to adapt the Shannon Burke novel Black Flies. I looked up Todd Kessler to see what other works he adapted and found Blue’s Clues made up the majority of his works. Good thing I dug deeper.

Coming Soon.net gives us this:

Paramount Pictures has hired Todd Kessler to adapt the Shannon Burke novel “Black Flies,” says The Hollywood Reporter. Darren Aronofsky is attached to direct

Now this Todd Kessler is not the same Todd Kessler who wrote for Blue’s Clues. This is not a story for children at all.

The story of Black Flies follows an aspiring medic who takes a job as an Emergency Medical Technician before going off to med school. Its a classic tale about how you learn more from real life than you do from a classroom.

This Todd Kessler is the Emmy nominated writer-producer of HBO’s Sopranos. Not Blue’s Clues.
