Beckinsale takes over for Parker

Kate Beckinsale will be taking over for Sarah Jessica Parker. Now for me, this happened a LONG time ago. Oh wait, they are talking about a movie role. That movie: Vacancy.

Movie Web found out:

Also joining the cast is Frank Whaley as the hotel’s anti hero, notes The Hollywood Reporter. The flick will be directed by Nimrod Antal, and is written by Mark L. Smith; it will star Beckinsale and Luke Wilson as a couple who find videocams in their motel room, then realize they are being taped for a snuff film.

Though my favourite movies with Beckinsale involve her in latex bodysuits or corsets, she is fun to watch no matter what she is wearing. I particularily enjoyed her as Ava Gardner in The Aviator.

So now she is taking away the role originally given to Sarah Jessica Parker. No word was given as to why Parker has pulled out of this project, or why Beckinsale got the role in her place, but I for one am happy that they did.

Can’t get too much Kate Beckinsale.
