Casting Call for all Jedi

Ever wanted to be a Jedi? Who hasn’t? Ever since Star Wars broke out in the late 70’s kids everywhere have been playing pretend Jedi forever. Well here is your chance!

Empire Online reports:

Jedis required for Star Wars Halloween at Chessington World of Adventures (6th – 8th Oct, 13th -15th Oct & 19th – 31st October inclusive plus rehearsal days). Jedis must be friendly & have an enthusiastic approach to entertaining children. Stage combat skills an advantage.”

It looks like this will be for a kids party, not a role in a film. But it has the workings of some great fandom meet. Even our very own John Campea took the time to swing a lightsabre around a bit on film. I worked on a short lightsabre duel that never saw its way to film. I was pretty handy with a sword until Lapsley nearly broke my foot with his.

Wannabes across the nation and around the world will flock to become the next greatest public Jedi entertainers!

Maybe this will usurp clowns for birthday party entertainment and there will be colleges, balloon lightsabres, Star Wars themed events everywhere…. squee!!

ok, I need to take a deep breath now. And change my pants.

And book tickets for John and I to go to Surrey BC.

And the plural of Jedi is Jedi.
