Who Is John Rambo?

John-Rambo-WarA lot of people are pretty psyched up for the new Rambo flick “Rambo“. The early trailers FILLED with violence and blood splatter have a lot of folks talking and getting geared up for a return to the morally empty 80’s where in movies the biggest gun determined the moral code :)

Personally, I have a lot of doubts about Rambo. I think it’s a desperate attempt by an over the hill actor to try to have relevance again. BUT… I said that exact same thing about Rocky Balboa… and I had to eat my words because Rocky Balboa was a fricking BRILLIANT movie that a hell of a lot more people should have seen. Same MIGHT happen with Rambo. Let’s wait and see.

Anyway, the folks at the mtv movies blog emailed Sylvester Stallone and asked him a simple question… WHO IS JOHN RAMBO? And Stallone emailed them back with this great answer:

John Rambo is a withdrawn man who is finally at peace with himself because he’s checked out of civilaztion. He realizes and believes that war is natural and peace is an accident — and he wants no part of either.

That’s awesome! (is it just me, or is this guy getting bigger as he gets older?)
