‘The Gate’ Remake in 3-D?

Another horror classic is about to be tarnished, but at least it’s going to be in 3-D!

Bloody-Disgusting gives us this:

The plan is reportedly to shoot the new version in 3-D. No more details were revealed. The original, which starred Stephen Dorff, followed three young children who accidentally release a horde of nasty, pint-sized demons from a hole in a suburban backyard.

As a child, this movie scared the living crap out of me. It dealt with a child’s worst fears and nightmares and brought them to reality in this cult classic 80’s film. (I was always scared an eye was going to be in my hand after watching the flick!) Am I pissed that they’re remaking this film? Of course! However, the 3-D angle intrigues me and I encourage filmmakers to bring back the 3-D effects onscreen. (Especially in horror films!)

So are you guys interested in seeing this obscure horror classic remade?
