Neil Blomkamp is one of my favorite directors right now as he’s one of the few out there that like to create films based of some of their own original ideas. I love when a director has a personal vested interest in a project as it often develops into some stellar cinema, a-la Christopher Nolan, and Blomkamp has been pretty good at creating these sci-fi flicks with social commentary undertones. I like it a lot actually so when I found out Hugh “Wolverine” Jackman and Sigourney “Ripley” Weaver were on board for this film it blipped a lot brighter on my radar.
