Roland Emmerich is trying to make Singularity his next movie and had intended to begin filming in March. Well hold everything cus Sony thinks this movie might need a little more polish before that time.

The $175 million film was scheduled to begin production in March but will now be pushed back in the wake of script revisions that will need to be done.
The story follows a nanotechnology pioneer who transfers his injured son’s consciousness into nanobots that take his physical form.
Emmerich and Harald Kloser penned the screenplay while Larry J. Franco and Koser are producing. No actors have been attached as yet.
A little odd to me that he doesn’t have a cast yet but anywhoo the meat of this is that Sony doesn’t believe the script is where it needs to be in order to deliver the goods. The premise of the movie is slightly different than the other effects heavy movies that Emmerich has directed in the past so it’s curious that they’re not yet happy with his work.
Let’s see how things progress from here…
