So every once in a while when Vin Diesel rises to a certain level of popularity he does this thing where he re-discovers his inner nerd and tries to appeal to the Sci-Fi audience. I suspect he came from humble beginnings and was a nerd on the inside but that’s just me. Either way he starred in Pitch Black and those Riddick movies which each took a shot at appealing to Sci-Fi fans and now he’s giving it another try with The Last Witchhunter.
A new trailer was released and I’d love to review the movie but I’m thinking that’s entirely dependant on Warner Bros and whether or not they want me rubbing elbows with the other invitees otherwise I’m sure some of our other writers will jump at the opportunity. Check out the trailer here:

I thought the trailer was a little underwhelming. It’s a mute trailer that tries to attract me with the action or depth of the premise but I’m just not feeling it. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I totally want to see Vin take on some zombie witches or whatever but the sight of him with hair is jarring every time. I’ve seen him bald for well over a decade so this change is about as surprising as seeing Kevin Spacey with a full hairline. It’s just unnatural. But then again there’s the flaming sword. God my inner nerd loves the idea of a sword on fire and the kind of bodily damage that one must suffer when properly inflicted.
I’ll keep sharing what they send and maybe review if those WB execs take notice and let me in the building. I’ll keep you posted, that’s all for now.
