My Netflix subscription seems to gain more and more value everyday. Not only has Netflix been nailing it with their original offerings in the form of shows but now they’ve gone ahead and added full on feature films to their list. I understand why HBO sees them as genuine competition. Beasts of No Nation stars Idris Elba and Abraham Attah. The story revolves around a young boy who survives as his country goes through a horrific war. The film is based on the 2005 novel by Uzodinma Iweala. Check out the trailer:
This looks to be an interesting historical movie and I expect to provide a review as soon as Netflix pulls the trigger for mass consumption. Beasts of No Nation was shot in Ghana and stars Idris Elba, Ama K. Abebrese, Abraham Attah, Grace Nortey, David Dontoh, and Opeyemi Fagbohungbe.
Once again Idris Elba shows another accent that he can pull off believably to western ears. Damn, this man has talent.
