Whee! Monster Zero has posted links to some footage from the Ryuhei Kitamura directed Godzilla: Final Wars! They’re careful to point out that this is not an official trailer, but rather footage compiled for a TV spot and that the post-production is nowhere near complete but it looks pretty good to me. Kitamura still owes me several hours of my life back thanks to his last few movies but this looks like it should be good, brainless, destructive fun. Of the mirrors linking to the video file this is the only one that was working when I tried.
It’s also being widely reported that the final battle of Final Wars will occur in Sydney, Australia between the old-school man-in-suit Godzilla and the purely CGI Godzilla from the American remake. Nice.
