Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista, and Bruce Willis teaming together for a film about a bank robbery… yeah, I could see that working. This is one of those Bruce Willis movies that nobody notices exists until it slaps you in the face with a trailer and release date, (not unlike a Nicholas Cage movie), and sees Dave Bautista getting another shot to show that he’s really committed to transitioning from wrestler to full on actor with what could easily be written off as a generic movie if not for this synopsis:
When a bank is hit by a brutal heist, all evidence points to the owner (Bruce Willis) and his high-powered clients. But as a group of FBI agents (Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista and Adrian Grenier) dig deeper into the case – and the deadly heists continue – it becomes clear that a larger conspiracy is at play.
Sounds interesting enough. Now here’s that trailer I forgot to embed at the beginning of the post:
Ah well, maybe next time Dave. Unsurprisingly, you’re used in this movie to punch things. Ah well, Bruce Willis seems to be making up for the acting talent side of things in his role and we’re finally able to see Christopher “Elliot” Meloni portraying a police office again. All is well for the runtime of this movie with everyone playing a perfectly apt role. It’s so well cast and conceptualized that this might actually make for a really cool movie.
Too bad I’m waiting for Netflix.
